Smt. Chanchal Kumavat to Lead the Women’s Wing

The chapter has formally nominated Smt. Chanchal Kumavat as President of its newly constituted Women’s Wing. Founder of the Saathi Multicultural Association of Australia, Casey Woman of the Year 2025, and a long-standing champion for women and families across our community.

Melbourne Chapter Featured in RF’s Third Coffee Table Book

The Office of the Commissioner has graciously included the Melbourne Chapter’s profile and contributions in the third edition of the Rajasthan Foundation’s Coffee Table Book — a publication showcasing the global Pravasi Rajasthani community’s contributions to Rajasthan’s growth.

Commissioner Directs Constitution of Women’s & Youth Wings

Honourable Commissioner Dr. Manisha Arora ji has directed all Rajasthan Foundation chapters worldwide to constitute dedicated Women’s Wings and Youth Wings — placing the voices of women and the next generation at the heart of every chapter’s work. The Melbourne Chapter has begun implementation, starting with the Women’s Wing.

12 April 2026 Community

Vinod Kumawat ji Nominated as Community Outreach Director

The chapter has formally welcomed Vinod Kumawat ji into the Rajasthan Foundation Family and nominated him as Community Outreach Director. Founder of Rajasthani Dhaba in Werribee — a cultural embassy keeping Rajasthani sanskriti alive in Melbourne — Vinod ji will build the chapter’s networks through food, hospitality and grassroots philanthropy. A formal certificate-of-recognition Jeeman is being coordinated for 31 May 2026 (Maharana Pratap Jayanti) at Rajasthani Dhaba, 23 Synnot Street, Werribee.

Shri Akshat Soni Nominated as Head of Public Relations

The chapter has nominated Shri Akshat Soni — IT professional, Multicultural Ambassador, and one of our most dynamic young leaders — as Head of Public Relations, with the nomination filed with the Office of the Commissioner.

24 April 2025 Foundation

Melbourne Chapter Established by the Government of Rajasthan

The Melbourne Chapter of the Rajasthan Foundation was officially established on 24 April 2025 through the statutory appointment of Shri Ravi Sharma as President by the Honourable Chief Minister of Rajasthan — making Australia the latest territory to join the Rajasthan Foundation’s global Pravasi Rajasthani family.
