Commissioner Calls on Global Pravasi Rajasthani Community to Invest in the Motherland
The Honourable Commissioner of the Rajasthan Foundation, Dr. Manisha Arora ji, addressed over 200 participants from Rajasthan Foundation Chapters and Non-Resident Rajasthani organisations across the globe in a virtual interaction convened by the Department of Domestic and Overseas Rajasthani Affairs (DORA), calling on the Pravasi Rajasthani community to invest in the motherland. Specific opportunities were flagged across the Jodhpur-Pali-Marwar Industrial Area (JPMIA), the Rajasthan Petro Zone, and the Raj Investment Portal’s ‘plug and play’ model, with RIICO — the state’s nodal industrial development agency — briefing the diaspora on land allocation processes and cost-recovery provisions. The Commissioner also commended the diaspora’s contribution to the Karmabhoomi Se Matrubhumi Abhiyan, the Vande Ganga Abhiyan, and the Shiksha Bhamashah initiatives. The Melbourne Chapter was honoured to participate in this global dialogue and stands ready to channel investment intent from Australia into Rajasthan’s growth story.

Melbourne Chapter Files NRR Philanthropy Submission with Commissioner
In response to the Honourable Commissioner’s letter of 21 April 2026, the Melbourne Chapter has filed an initial submission documenting the philanthropic and community contributions of Non-Resident Rajasthanis associated with our chapter — spanning education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, environmental work, and cultural preservation. The submission consolidates contributions from across our membership and will form the chapter’s formal record on file with the Office of the Commissioner.

The chapter has formally nominated Smt. Chanchal Kumavat as President of its newly constituted Women’s Wing. Founder of the Saathi Multicultural Association of Australia, Casey Woman of the Year 2025, and a long-standing champion for women and families across our community.

Commissioner Directs Constitution of Women’s & Youth Wings
Honourable Commissioner Dr. Manisha Arora ji has directed all Rajasthan Foundation chapters worldwide to constitute dedicated Women’s Wings and Youth Wings — placing the voices of women and the next generation at the heart of every chapter’s work. The Melbourne Chapter has begun implementation, starting with the Women’s Wing.

Vinod Kumawat ji Nominated as Community Outreach Director
The chapter has formally welcomed Vinod Kumawat ji into the Rajasthan Foundation Family and nominated him as Community Outreach Director. Founder of Rajasthani Dhaba in Werribee — a cultural embassy keeping Rajasthani sanskriti alive in Melbourne — Vinod ji will build the chapter’s networks through food, hospitality and grassroots philanthropy. A formal certificate-of-recognition Jeeman is being coordinated for 31 May 2026 (Maharana Pratap Jayanti) at Rajasthani Dhaba, 23 Synnot Street, Werribee.

The Melbourne Chapter of the Rajasthan Foundation was officially established on 24 April 2025 through the statutory appointment of Shri Ravi Sharma as President by the Honourable Chief Minister of Rajasthan — making Australia the latest territory to join the Rajasthan Foundation’s global Pravasi Rajasthani family.
