Melbourne Chapter Files NRR Philanthropy Submission with Commissioner

In response to the Honourable Commissioner’s letter of 21 April 2026, the Melbourne Chapter has filed an initial submission documenting the philanthropic and community contributions of Non-Resident Rajasthanis associated with our chapter — spanning education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, environmental work, and cultural preservation. The submission consolidates contributions from across our membership and will form the chapter’s formal record on file with the Office of the Commissioner.

Smt. Chanchal Kumavat to Lead the Women’s Wing

The chapter has formally nominated Smt. Chanchal Kumavat as President of its newly constituted Women’s Wing. Founder of the Saathi Multicultural Association of Australia, Casey Woman of the Year 2025, and a long-standing champion for women and families across our community.

The Office of the Commissioner has graciously included the Melbourne Chapter’s profile and contributions in the third edition of the Rajasthan Foundation’s Coffee Table Book — a publication showcasing the global Pravasi Rajasthani community’s contributions to Rajasthan’s growth.

Commissioner Directs Constitution of Women’s & Youth Wings

Honourable Commissioner Dr. Manisha Arora ji has directed all Rajasthan Foundation chapters worldwide to constitute dedicated Women’s Wings and Youth Wings — placing the voices of women and the next generation at the heart of every chapter’s work. The Melbourne Chapter has begun implementation, starting with the Women’s Wing.

Melbourne Chapter Established by the Government of Rajasthan

The Melbourne Chapter of the Rajasthan Foundation was officially established on 24 April 2025 through the statutory appointment of Shri Ravi Sharma as President by the Honourable Chief Minister of Rajasthan — making Australia the latest territory to join the Rajasthan Foundation’s global Pravasi Rajasthani family.
